This oil is fantastic to use in summer or on a sun-filled holiday, and also wonderful in the winter when the skin really needs that deep hydration.

Using oil to clean the skin is an ancient Ayurvedic practice that has come full-circle and is now viewed as a cutting-edge dermal care practice for all skin types.

Tie your hair back, then, dispense a few drops of facial oil into the palm of your hand. With your other hand, catch a few drops of hot water from the tap and mix them into the oil, creating a 50/50 blend of hot water and oil in your hands.

Gently massage the slightly heated, diluted oil all over your face. This will now melt away any superficial dirt, bacteria, makeup or dead skin.

Rinse the natural cotton washcloth under hot water then squeeze out any excess water. In a quick mini, circular motion, rub the cloth over the face to remove all of the oil and everything it carries with it. The texture of the cloth will give you enough of a gentle exfoliation of the skin. Repeat a few times if desired.

At this stage, your skin is perfectly clean and you may choose to stop here. If you have ageing skin, are prone to dry skin or just want to receive the extra benefits of all the incredible rejuvenating ingredients, apply a few more drops to the palm of your hand and gently run into your skin.

The Amazonian basin fruit (known as Buriti in Brazil, and Aguaje in Peru), produces this very rare and remarkable cosmetic oil. Buriti oil is the highest natural source of phyto-available beta-carotene on earth. Beta-carotene and it’s breakdown Retinol (Vitamin A) are two of the most important antioxidants known to modern dermatology for protecting the skin against the damaging effect of sunlight by neutralising free radicals and rehydrating skin cells. Buriti oil is also extremely high in antioxidants to neutralising free radicals: an anti-aging essential for any modern skin care regimen.

Buriti oil contains more than 72% oleic acid (Argan oil is 45%). Oleic acid is a fatty acid that has the ability to not only deeply nourish the skin, but also regenerate the skin’s elasticity and encourage cellular renewal. Buriti oil is also known for its natural occurring SPF of approximately 15 SPF making this product a must for anyone avoiding sun damage and seeking radiant skin.

Ungurahui oil is an unrefined oil extracted from the Amazon basin fruit. It hosts an exceptionally high concentration of Oleic acid or Omega 9 (82%). Oleic acid’s high lipid count make it capable or penetrating past the outer skin layer providing more intense moisture, producing greater long-term hydration to the skin. Indigenous women in the Amazon use Ungurahui oil to increasing the skin’s suppleness and elasticity.

This rare essential oil is liquid gold. Cherished for more than 5000 years in Ayurvedic medicine and beauty rituals, the oil contains the powerful curcumin molecule, which has strong anti-inflammatory property, calming skin and reducing puffiness. It is a potent antioxidant and exceptional for cellular renewal.

The Sanskrit word Sneha means both “oil” and “love.” Ayurvedic texts teach that to anoint the body with oil is to saturate it with love of self, and love for our plant allies. This is our gift from this masterful Indian tradition.
