EMOTIONAL + ENERGETIC APPLICATIONS

Rosewood oil encourages feelings of compassion, serenity, safety, emotional stability and empowerment. Rosewood oil has been traditionally used to combat bouts of sadness and depression and is also classified under aphrodisiac oils, perhaps because it brings us into our power through emotional security. Rosewood oil is also a powerful nervine tonic making it an important part of my Detox and Rasayana protocols. Keeping the nervous system calm and content is undoubtedly one of the most important fundamental modern-day health practices.

SKIN CARE | REGENERATING + SOOTHING

Rosewood is excellent at encouraging elasticity and rapid cellular rejuvenation and is therefore extremely beneficial to mature skin. Just one single drop dabbed onto the skin creates an intensive wrinkle treatment. Rosewood has a slight cooling property and can also be used on any skin type including sensitive skin and babies. The cooling property of the oil is soothing to almost all skin irritations and inflammations. Apply directly on wrinkles, spots, wounds, bites, skin irritations or imbalances. Add a few drops to a spray bottle of pure water, shake and use as soothing and nourishing mist

BUYING AND SELLING RESPONSIBLY IN AMAZONIA

The elegantly aromatic oil of the Rosewood tree has been revered by perfumers worldwide for centuries but is now under the threat of extinction. To date, Brazil has been the entire world’s sole supplier of this precious oil. Lack of education and socioeconomic conditions have encouraged the illegal clear cutting of the trees throughout the Brazilian rainforest leaving the government no choice but to permanently close the door on all exports. This fairly recent law has killed the industry of the oil while simultaneously providing the last hope for non-extinction. Any sale of the essential oil of Palo Rosa with Brazilian origin is an illegal export.

FARETRADE + SUSTAINABLE

This product is produced in a small essential oil distillery in the Peruvian Amazon. In the early 2000’s, a Rosewood preservation initiative and alliance was formed between a European couple and 14 local Amazonian families. The initiative focuses on both reforestation and sustainable harvesting. Only it’s leaves, twigs and fallen branches are collected for distillation and no trees are ever cut down. This method or pruning also protects and fortifies the existing trees. Our producers are dedicated to supporting Amazonian diversity, responsible commerce and the teachings of ancestral values and knowledge.
